My life is a flurry of two things. The first being weddings. The second, baseball. O’s fan, softball player of 15+ years, & sister to two year-round ball players… that’s the life.
Tonight Will had a chance to step into the shoes of minor leaguers by playing with his select team at the Baysox stadium! I can’t even begin to imagine how incredible that was for him. It’s like the equivalent of me working for David Tutera for a day. Be still my heart.
This week has been an absolute whirlwind. Whiplash and wind blown hair. Seriously.
A job interview (turned to two), a meeting to plan, and a bridal shower to help pull off- on top of normal work hours for the office & Bayside. Plus (trying) to maintain this temporary-long-distance relationship that Logan and I have found ourselves in. For this week we had to hit the pause button on our normal Skype & phone time. Well yesterday and today was ALL about the shower. It’s been so fun to help Minna prepare for one of our best friend’s pre wedding celebrations.
Above is a taste of Thursday’s preparations. Mimosa purchasing, cookie baking (yes, those are hippos!! Corrie’s favorite!), and Primrose prizes for the shower. Hopefully I’ll manage some good shots at the actual party.
And today is the day! This is my favorite part- seeing it all together. Well maybe that’s actually second to drinking teacup after teacup full of Betty’s Black or Blueberry tea.
Sidenote: Ok for real though, I’m tired of work clothes and dresses. I’m super excited to get home in the late afternoon. I’m going to clean out the teapots and then hard core nap in my comfy UMBC sweatpants.
Prepping for tomorrow. This Superbowl party will be one of the few where I don’t have to ask, “Who are you rooting for?” I also won’t have to desperately look through my clothes for some random team’s colors. The colors I need are staples in any good Baltimorean’s closet. BLACK and PURPLE!
Go RAVENS!

What can happen in a second?
That was my very first prompt. I must admit I played with it a bit. Not sure what constituted a second. Does it include the process leading up to what happened or not? So I took liberties and I had my little brother help. Here is our list of the earth-shattering, silly, and mundane all mixed in together. A second is a powerful thing.

Here’s the little graduation announcement project that I’ve been working on for the last few days. I designed the announcements myself and decided that they needed some custom envelopes to go along with the personalized feel. Thank you Martha :)
